🕌 Important Reminder Regarding the Czech Translation of the Qur'an 🇨🇿
This is something very important that we, as a Muslim community in Czechia, must be aware of and clarify to anyone who is interested in reading the Qur’an in the Czech language.
📌 The Qur’an is the unchanged, preserved Word of Allah (s.w.t.). But translations are human interpretations of the meanings of the Qur’an, and they can differ, especially depending on the translator’s beliefs.
⚠️ Unfortunately, when you search “Czech Qur’an” on Google, the first result is often a translation from the Ahmadiyya (Qadiani) sect, available at the AlIslam.org website. It is often titled “Svatý Korán” and usually has a blue cover. This group holds beliefs not accepted by the mainstream Muslim ummah, such as:
Believing that Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him) has died and will not return.
Believing that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is not the final messenger, and that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a prophet after him, a belief completely against the teachings of the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah.
They often argue that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a non-law-bearing prophet subordinate to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and thus does not violate the finality of prophethood.
However, this interpretation contradicts the clear understanding of the Qur’an and Hadith, and is rejected by all recognized Muslim scholars and communities worldwide, e.g. Al-Azhar University (Egypt), The Islamic Fiqh Council (OIC), Well-known Saudi scholars, Pakistan’s constitution (1974), etc.
Ijma‘ (consensus) of the entire Muslim Ummah for over 1400 years is that no new prophet will come after Muhammad ﷺ, neither law-bearing nor non-law-bearing.
The correct Czech translation accepted by the Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamāʿah is:
✅ “Vznešený Korán” by Dr. Ivan Hrbek
It was originally translated in 1972, faithful to classical Sunni interpretation.
It does not contain deviant theological interpretations

For those who prefer a physical copy, we highly recommend the reformatted 2016 version (This is the best one across Czechia):
It is the same Dr. Hrbek translation, with Arabic on one page, Czech on the other (verse by verse). Also, it is easier to read and beautifully designed, and comes with a red cover.
📝 Please inform all Czech-speaking brothers and sisters, and especially reverts or those giving da’wah, to avoid translations from questionable sources and only read and distribute the authentic version.
Important Clarification: This message is not about hatred or attacking anyone’s beliefs. We fully respect others and leave their affairs to Allah (s.w.t.).
“To you be your religion, and to me, mine.” (Surah al-Kāfirūn 109:6)
But we as a community must be responsible in guiding our fellow Muslims and those seeking the truth to the correct sources, so they are not misled or confused.
💡 Let’s fulfill our duty with wisdom, respect, and sincerity, and ensure that the Qur’an they read reflects the correct teachings of Islam as taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and understood by his Companions and the generations of scholars after them.
