The OMC (Olomouc Muslim Community) is a small, mostly student-run society that aims to serve the basic necessities of Muslims in Olomouc. Al-Firdaus is the name of our small prayer room in the city centre which is open regularly for Friday Jummah prayers, Eid prayers and occasionally other prayers during the day. We also supply halal meat for the students and residents of Olomouc upon request.
As we are legally a private entity and not a charity organisation, we do not receive any official funding from any state body and hence, rent and maintenance costs are almost entirely from our own pockets. Anybody who wishes to contribute to our common fund is welcome and encouraged to do so as an act of sadaqah (charity).
What your money is used for:
To pay for rent and bills
Masjid supplies
Regular maintenance
Food during Ramadan, Eid and other events

Both bank accounts mentioned in this page are registered under the name of Almutairi, Rakan Abdulrahman, a student. He is a fellow committee member and has set up these accounts specifically for the Olomouc Muslim Community, with only a small number of committee members having access to the funds.

The OMC welcome donations in general if its purpose is to improve the condition or facilities available at Al-Firdaus. You can donate books for the study room, printer ink and paper, Islamic decorations, extra hijabs/thobes/jubbahs or Qurans and other Islamic books.
